Betty M. Spicer
Tiffin Glass/Mercy Hospital retiree
Betty M. Spicer, 78, formerly of 2011 W. CR 592, died at 10:46 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2000, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
She was born Nov. 25, 1921, in Tiffin, to Albert and Hazel (McDonald) Ambrose. Her husband, Walter W. Spicer, is deceased.
Survivors include: a step-son, James W. Spicer of Ravenna; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Pamela) Priddy of Tiffin; a brother, Franklyn "Spud" Ambrose of Tiffin; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were: a daughter, Deborah Spicer; a brother, Eugene Ambrose and a sister, Dorothy Ambrose.
Mrs. Spicer, a Columbian High School graduate, retired in 1979 from the hot metal department at Tiffin Glass Co., after 30 years of service. She later retired in 1984 form Mercy Hospital.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
The Rev. James Say will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Friday funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Memorials may be made to Autumnwood Care Center or the church.

Primo G. DeMonte
Retired stone mason/bricklayer
Primo G. DeMonte, 89, 545 W. Market St., died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2000, in the Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born in Dominans, Italy, Oct. 24, 1910, to Antonio and Vincenza (Pelligrini) DeMonte. In 1939, in Detroit, Mich., he married Caroline Siewniak, who died June 15, 1977.
Surviving are: a son, Richard J. DeMonte of Dundee, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Amabilis) Huss of Tiffin; three grandchldren, eight great-grandchldren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Louis and Alvin DeMonte, also are deceased.
Mr. DeMonte retired as a stone mason and tile and bricklayer through the Bricklayers Union, after more than 70 years of employment.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the VFW, Eagles, Moose, Elks and Bricklayers Union Local 46.
A funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Frank Murd as celebrant. The rosary will be recited at the church 15 minutes prior to the Mass Thursday. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care and the church.
Florence Emma Wentling
Worthington Plastics retiree
Florence Emma Wentling, 83, of 342 W. Hicks St., Upper Sandusky, died at 4:43 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2000, in the Ottawa County Riverview Nursing Home, Oak Harbor.
She was born in Hancock County, Sept. 6, 1916, to Charles Guy and Ethel May (Hartman) Thomas. Her husband, Blair E. Wentling, whom she married Dec. 28, 1941, preceded her in death Sept. 7, 1999.
Survivors include: a son, Paul E. Wentling of Oak Harbor; a daughter, Martha M. Worstine of Upper Sandusky; a granddaughter, three step-grandsons, three step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Thomas of Cleveland and Don Thomas of Findlay; and four sisters, Mabel Johnston, Ruth Ford and Dorothy Ellen Kimmel, all of Findlay and Ilo Smith of Benton Ridge.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Wentling retired in 1979 after 13 years of employment, from Worthington Custom Plastics, Upper Sandusky.
A member of Eagle Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Houcktown, she enjoyed eating out and gardening.
The Rev. John Hoover will conduct the 11 a.m. Friday service in the Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky. Interment will be in Wharton-Richland-Union Cemetery, Wharton.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
