Kathleen A. Zilch
Lifelong Bellevue resident

Kathleen A. Zilch, 56, of 231 Northwest St., Bellevue, died on Thursday, June 15, 2000 at her home after a long illness. She was born Nov. 26, 1943 in Bellevue to Quentin and Mary (Hotz) Tracy. On Feb. 7, 1963 she married Richard Zilch, he preceded her in death in 1986.

Survivors include: a son, Richard Zilch of Fremont; four daughters, Sandy Peer of Monroe, Mi., Kim Johnson of Bellevue, Amy Deel of Green Springs, and Patti Zilch of Bellevue; four grandchildren; three sisters, Karen Albrycht, Cindy Benson, and Chris Koehler, all of Bellevue.

Mrs. Zilch was the supervisor at St. Mary's Catholic School Cafeteria in Clyde for 12 years, retiring in December of 1999 due to illness. She was a graduate of Bellevue High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Bellevue.

Friends will be received at Foos & Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, tonight from 6-8 p.m. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Saturday, June 17, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue., Msgr. Edward Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Helena W. Downs
Bellevue resident

Helena W. Downs, 101, of 323 Northwest St., Bellevue, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at Bellevue Hospital. She was born Feb. 16, 1899 in Tiffin to Thomas and Nellie (Burke) Weaver. She married Edgar Dons in 1922 and he preceded her in death in 1971.

Surviving include: two daughters, Deanna Stephens of Bellevue, and Marilyn Stephens of Del Ray Beach, Fl.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death was a great granddaughter, Laureen Stephens.

Mrs. Downs worked at The Bellevue Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1968. She was the oldest member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Bellevue, and served with the local Episcopal Church Women. She was also a member of the Bellevue Hospital Auxiliary.

Friends will be received at Harris Funeral Home, Bellevue on Monday, June 19, 2000 from 5-7 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Bellevue at 10 am. where the body will lie in state after 9 a.m. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Church or to the Bellevue Hospital.

Beatrice G. Fisher
Tiffin resident

Beatrice G. Fisher, 74, of 365 Main St., Tiffin, died at 5:05 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2000. She was born on Jan. 29, 1926 to Henry and Ruth (Lentz) Slatman. On Dec. 11, 1947 she married John M. Fisher, and he survives.

Other survivors include: a son, John H. Fisher of Columbus; three daughters, Bonnie San Gregory of Homer, Mi., Jacqueline Phillips, and Sarah Hoover, both of Tiffin; a sister, Joanne Weiser of Springfield, Oh.; and four grandchildren.

Preceded in death was a sister, Alice Crabtree.

Mrs. Fisher was a Columbian High School graduate Class of 1944, she was a homemaker, crossing guard and Avon dealer. A member of Washington Street United Methodist Church; Women's Group of the Church; Tiffin Stamp Club; Girl Scout Leader; and Allen Eiry Senior Citizen.

The Rev. Larry Smith will officiate the 3 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2000 funeral service at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 7-9 p.m., tonight, and one hour prior to the funeral service.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Hildred C. Funk Adams
Retired Junior Home teacher

Hildred C. Funk Adams, 93, of Independence House, Fostoria, formerly of Bascom, died at 4:32 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2000. She was born April 10, 1907 to Perry and Minnie (DeWald) Funk. On Aug. 19, 1943 she married J. Earl Adams, he died march 26, 1993.

Survivors include: five nieces, Janet Funk Dutt of Tiffin, Judy Funk Davis of Dover, Ma., Susan Funk Williams of Oriental, N.C., Nancy Funk Mitchell of N. Olmstead, and Ann Funk Boncimino; and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death were: five brothers and five sisters, Wayne D., Wenner, and twin brothers Allon N. and Dr. John Funk, M.D. and her twin H. Squire Funk., Hester Dysart, Hazel Rowe, third set of twins, Mary Hope Funk and James Walter Funk died in infancy, and Helen Funk.

Mrs. Adams is a graduate of Columbian High School Class of 1925, and graduated Heidelberg College Class of 1930, she spent two years in Germany and two years in Japan, she taught school at the Junior Home and Hopewell-Loudon, she retired. A member of Bascom Union United Church of Christ, former Bascom Garden Club Member and she was active in all church organizations.

The Pastor James Michaels will officiate the 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 19, 2000 funeral service at the Bascom Union United Church of Christ. Burial will be at Sand Ridge Cemetery.

There are no visitation hours scheduled.

The Turner-Engle Funeral Home in in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Independence House and United Church of Christ.

M. Alice Thomson
Retired Old Fort High School Librarian

M. Alice Thomson, 75, formerly of Westwood Court, Tiffin, died at 3:43 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at St. Francis Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 15, 1925 to Raymond and Lillian (Burkins) Crowl. On July 27, 1945 she married Philip Beatty Thomson, he died Dec. 24, 1999.

Surviving include: two sons, John Philip Thomson of Ca., and James Raymond Thomson of Az.; and a niece, Myra Muntz of Swanton.

Preceded in death was a sister, Mary Anita Fleming.

Mrs. Thomson was a Class of 1943 Old Fort High School graduate, a homemaker and retired librarian of Old Fort Elementary School. A member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women of Ebenezer Church.

The Memorial Service at Ebenezer United Methodist Church is yet to be determined.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Turner-Engle Funeral Home.
