Jerome P. "Jerry" Falter

Jerome P. "Jerry" Falter, 70, of 21 Tomb St., Tiffin, died on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001 at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin. He was born Nov. 9, 1931 in Bloomville to Roman and Dorothy (Kenney) Falter. On Sept. 13, 1958 he married Carol A. Welter in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin, and she survives.

Also surviving include: a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Jackson of Whitehouse; two sons, Charles and Donald Falter, both of Tiffin; a sister, Mrs. Eloise Keiffer of Tiffin; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Falter was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War and a Purple Heart recipient.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Church. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman-Gottfried Funeral Home. A wake service will be held at 5:45 p.m. Sunday. Rosary at 9:45 a.m. Monday. Military Graveside service will be conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Norman F. Phillips

Norman F. Phillips, 77, of 425 West Ridge Dr., Unit 11, Fostoria, died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2001 at Independence House, Fostoria. He was born Oct. 25, 1924 in Risingsun to Floyd W. and Elizabeth (Kinney) Phillips. He married Marjorie K. Fawcett on Sept. 9, 1944. They were divorced. He then married W. LaVonne Roppe on Feb. 23, 1974, and she survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Michael J Phillips of Annandale, VA.; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Phillips DiMisa of Fairfax Station, VA.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Paula (Good) Lombardy and Pamela (Good) Huffman, both of Fostoria; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Jurrus of Hamilton.

Mr. Phillips was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WW II.

A private service will be held in Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Internment at Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia with Military Graveside Services by the United Veterans Council.

Geraldine Ann Payne

Geraldine Ann Payne, 62, of 541 E. Market St., Tiffin, died at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001 at her home. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home in Tiffin.
