Hildegarde M. Sertell
Tiffin homemaker
Hildegarde M. Sertell, 84, of 15 Grammes St., died at 9:35 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, in the Emergency Care Center of Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1915, to Nicholas and Catherine (Kinn) Reinhart. On June 27, 1945, she married Francis A. Sertell in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Nicholas Sertell of Springfield; two sisters, Irma Clouse and Evelyn Del Turco, both of Tiffin; and two grandchildren, Beth and Mary Sertell.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Barbara Reinhart.
Mrs. Sertell was a 1933 graduate of Calvert High School. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; Rosary Altar Society at the church; Allen Eiry Senior Center; and was a volunteer at St. Francis Home and Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
The Rev. James Say will officiate the 11 a.m. Monday service at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
The rosary recited at the church at 10:45 a.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Marcella B. Gabel
Resident of Tiffin
Marcella B. Gabel, 90, formerly of Kiwanis Manor, and also of Fremont, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at St. Francis Home. Funeral Mass is pending for Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with pending visitation. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home of Tiffin.
Edna A. Capell
Resident of Attica
Edna A. Capell, 81, of 6074 US 224 W., Attica, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Riverside Hospital, Columbus. She was born July 29, 1918, to the late William T. and Pearl (Fast) Hershiser. On Oct. 21, 1939 she married Arthur Capell. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ronald A. Capell of Cary, N.C., and Lyle E. Capell of Willard; a daughter, Carol J. Capell of Grand Blanc, Mich.; a sister, Aleda Peck of Willard; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Velma Wilcox and Aura Baldosser.
Mrs. Capell was a 1936 graduate of Willard High School, a homemaker and worked many years at the Village Pastry in Willard. She was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church, the Missionary Society of the church and the Huron County Farm Bureau.
The Rev. Stephen Holliday will officiate the 11 a.m. Saturday service at the Willard First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery, Attica.
Visitation hours are 2-4 and 7-9 tonight at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Home, Willard.
Memorials may be made to the Richmond United Methodist Church and/or the Mercy Hospital of Willard through the funeral home.
