John R. Smith Sr.

John R. Smith Sr., 55, 686 S. Sandusky St. Lot 49, Tiffin, Ohio, died Monday Jan. 21, 2002, at his home.

He was born March 13, 1946, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Charles E. and Margaret (Schnyder) Smith. On April 17, 1965, in Bloomville, Ohio, he married Bonnie K. Messersmith, who survives.

Other survivors include: children, John R. Smith Jr., Kimberley Smith, Nevada Smith and Kendullin Smith, all of Tiffin, Ohio; brothers, George D. Smith of Tiffin, Ohio and Gerald Smith; sisters, Mildred Holmer of Republic, Ohio and Patti Ann; half sisters, Mrs. Tim (Ann Marie) Green and Mrs. Mike (Carol Sue) Smith, both of Tiffin, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Michelle, Gabrielle, Nathaniel, Kala, Josh, Candise Nicole, Mariah Jo, Brady and Garrett Thomas; and a great-grandchild, Hope Lynn. A brother, Albert Smith, also is deceased.

Mr. Smith was employed at Ameriwood Industry:Todco in Upper Sandusky and at Progress Plastic as a fork lift operator. He was a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday Jan. 24, at New Beginnings Assembly of God Church with Pastor Rex King officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church. Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Arthur James Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Columbus; Community Hospice Care or the donor's choice.

Judith Marie Fox

Judith Marie Fox, 75, of 67 Liberty St., Tiffin, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at St.Vincent's Hospital, Toledo.

Arrangements are pending at Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, Tiffin.

Barbara A. Eddington

Barbara A. Eddington, 68, of 372 E. South St., Carey, died at 6:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, at the Eaglewood Care Center. She was born on Feb. 24, 1933, in Carey to Albert S. and Hulda M. (Kentfield) Bentz, both of whom are deceased. She married Frank Eddington on Dec. 2, 1950, and they were divorced.

Survivors include: three sons, Frank of Carey, John of Fostoria and Todd of Tiffin; four daughters, Mrs. Tom (Carolyn) Faeth of New Riegel, Amy Eddington of Mt. Victory, Tonya Roark and Georgia Heffelfinger, both of Carey; three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Joan) Thompson, Mrs. Samuel (Laura) Ruffing and Mary Blair, all of Carey; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Strombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. Internment will be in St.Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at Strombaugh- Batton Funeral Home, Carey.

Ruby E. Scholidon

Ruby E. Scholidon, 73, of 816 Eastern Ave., Fostoria, died at 3:55 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay. She was born in Ada on Sept. 22, 1928, to Marcelles "Ted" and Golda (Stevenson) Kimble, both of whom are deceased. She married John F. Scholidon on April 26, 1947, in Tiffin and he died on April 19, 1992.

Survivors include: two sons, John D. Scholidon of Fostoria and Daniel J. Scholidon of Weston; four daughters, Joan F. Scholidon, Patricia Ann Scholidon, Mary Christine Scholidon and Susan I. Scholidon, all of Fostoria; a brother, Charles "Chick" Kimble of Lodi, Calif.; three sisters, Marcella Peterson of Portland, Ore., Ruth Wildman of Amsden, Clara Williams of Fostoria; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home. Internment will be in St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Evelyn H. Comeskey

Evelyn H. Comeskey, 95, of Cridersville and formerly of Tiffin, died at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at Otterbein Cridersville. She was born in Fremont on Feb. 8, 1906, to Claude and Florence (Cribbs) Wellover, both of whom are deceased. She married Harry Albert Comeskey Oct. 18, 1926, and he died Dec. 27, 2001.

Survivors include: two sons, Harry Allen (Carol) Comeskey of Wilmington, N.C. and Donald Albert (Janice) Comeskey of Lima; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren,

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Zion Lutheran Church, Lima with Pastor Paul Gruetter officiating. Internment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Ballville.

Joeseph W. Shook, 77, of 769 Greenfield Court, Tiffin, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
