Mary E. Sarka Klausing
Mother of Tiffin resident

Mary E. Sarka Klausing, 79, of Lima died at 3:33 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, in Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Salem Township, Auglaize County, to Frank M. and Vira E. (Reed) Graessle. On June 3, 1939, she married Albert Emmett Sarka. He died July 18, 1969. On April 27, 1973, she married Arnold J. Klausing. He died May 26, 1996.

Surviving are three sons, Larry D. and Kenneth D. Sarka, both of Tiffin and William A. Klausing of rural Columbus Grove; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, D. Edwin and Don Graessle, both of Spencerville; three sisters, Mrs Maurice (Waneta) Hager and Mrs. John (Caroleen) Moorman, both of Spencerville and Mrs. Jack (Emaline) Core of Kossuth; and a brother-in-law.

Four sisters, Pauline and Gail Graessle, Louise Gould and Susan Leffel, also are deceased.

Mrs. Klausing, a graduate of Spencerville High School, retired in 1973 from the shipping and receiving department of the Sears and Roebuck Co. in Lima.

She was a member of the Kossuth-Zion United Methodist Church, Kossuth.

Services are at 1 p.m. today in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, with the Rev. Raymond S. Daniel Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Kossuth Cemetery.

Visitation will be noon until time of the service today at the funeral home. Visitation also was Wednesday

Memorials may be made to the church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Jeffrey S. Walters

Memorial services for Jeffrey S. Walters, 55, who died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at his home at 8811 Coast Highway 162, Laguna Beach, Calif., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion United Church of Christ, Bettsville, with the Rev. Gary Adams officiating. The Turner Engle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
