Thomas H. Warnement

Thomas H. Warnement, 71, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2000, at his home at 885 S. TR 15.

He was born in Tiffin, May 17, 1928, to Paul R. and Marian (Sexton) Warnement. His father survives in Tiffin. On Sept. 9, 1950, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, he married Margaret C. "Peg" Wurm, who survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Kevin Warnement of Tiffin and Brad Warnement of Republic; three daughters, Deborah Hoerig, Mrs. Larry (Diana) Warnement-Hunter and Mrs. Michael (Carol) Dell, all of Tiffin; a brother, Richard Warnement of Tiffin; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

His mother; a son, Tom Warnement II; a brother, Ed Warnement; and a son-in-law, are deceased.

Mr. Warnement, a 1947 graduate of Calvert High School, retired as a heavy equipment operator from the Seneca County Highway Department, where he had been employed for 47 years. He also was engaged in farming.

A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Farm Bureau, Calvert Alumni Association, Calvert Boosters and the Columbian Boosters. He also was an avid Notre Dame fan.

The Rev. James K. Say and the Rev. Frank A. Murd will be the concelebrants at the 11 a.m. Wednesday funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at the church at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, where a wake service will be at 8:45 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Linda Wurm Scholarship Fund, St. Joseph Activity Center, Calvert Tuition Fund or the donor's choice.

Graveside services for Vernon H.Konst, 71, 69 Bobb St., who died Sunday, April 16, 2000, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Green Springs Cemetery, with the Rev. David Vensel officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the Parkinson Foundation or the Humane Society. The Turner-Engle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Ralph R. Hemminger
Fostoria resident

Ralph R. Hemminger, 75, of Fostoria, died at 5:22 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2000, in Fostoria Community Hospital. Arrangements are pending at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria.
