Dortha Axe
Mother of Tiffin resident
Dortha Axe, 86, of 5299 E. 400 North, Portland, Ind.,died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, in St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born in Jay County, Indiana, March 4, 1914, to Ulrich and Estelle (Bryant) Bailey. In September 1931, she married William Axe. He died in May 1959.
Survivors include: two daughters, Judithan Williamson of Portland, Ind., and Janet Anspaugh of Tiffin; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Rosemond Scott.
Mrs. Axe, a homemaker, attended the Westchester United Methodist Church for many years and most recently attended the Worldwide Church of God in Muncie.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, 221 N. Meridian St., Portland, with burial following in Green Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

M. Marie Mullins, 59, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at her residence at 22 Earl St., Bloomville. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday and the service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Further arrangements are pending at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.
Arthur Dean Wohlgamuth
Union Carbide retiree
Arthur Dean Wohlgamuth, 65, of Woodward Avenue, Fostoria, died at 8:54 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2000, in Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 30, 1934, in Findlay, to Carl and LaVerne (Slaughterbeck) Wohlgamuth. He first married Sue Sheerer and they were divorced. On Aug. 11, 1978, in Tiffin, he married Betty Kitchen. She survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: a son, Neal Wohlgamuth of Goldsboro, N.C.; a daughter, Mrs. George (Karen) Kosko of Newark; a stepson, James Cotter of Kentucky; three stepdaughters, Kathy Kitchen and Mrs. Danny (Barb) Hutton, both of Fostoria, and Mrs. Kenneth (Julie) Knotts of Marion; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Charlotte) Payne of Findlay; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Mr. Wohlgamuth, a U.S. Navy veteran, retired from the Union Carbide Co. in Fostoria.
A former manager, life member and past exalted ruler of Fostoria Elks Lodge 935, he also was a member of Fostoria Eagles Lodge, Fostoria Footlighters and past president of the Traffic Club.
Pastor Art Suydam will be the officiant at the 10 a.m. Saturday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Knollcrest Cemetery, near Arcadia, where the joint Veteran Group of Fostoria will conduct military honors at the graveside.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where Elks memorial services will be at 7 p.m.
