Peter James Goodwin
Former Tiffin resident
Peter James Goodwin, 35, formerly of 2423 S. SR 53, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 1998, in Northland Terrace Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born in Worcester, Mass., May 26, 1963, to Roscoe and Irene (Roman) Goodwin. They both survive in West Dover, Vermont.
Other survivors include: a sister, Mrs. Peter (Nancy) Hutchinson of Easton, Pa.; two nephews, Cameron and Christian Hutchinson; and special friends, Mark and Wanda Meredith of Tiffin.
A graduate of Ridge High School, Basking Ridge, N.J., Mr. Goodwin also graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a degree in aviation technology. He was a member of the Protestant faith.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gail Angel officiating.
Visitation will be 10:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
Cheyenne M. Dick
3-year-old daughter
Cheyenne M. Dick, 3-year-old daughter of Raymond and Paula (Reinhart) Dick Jr. of Carey, died Tuesday afternoon, July 21, 1998, in New Riegel.
She was born in Fremont, Dec. 23, 1994.
Survivors include: her parents; three siblings, Raymond Reinhart and Steven and Karen Dick, all at home; maternal grandparents, Paul and Sara Reinhart of New Riegel; maternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Porter of Fostoria; and paternal grandparents, Raymond and Shirley Dick Sr. of Huntingdon, Pa.
A sister, Theresa Dick, is deceased.
Public graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Frenchtown, with the Rev. Conrad Sutter O.F.M. Conv., officiating.
Private family visitation will be at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Mildred L. Rall
Drive-in/restaurant co-owner
Former Carey and Kenton resident, Mildred L. Rall, 85, of 735 Kroger Drive, Upper Sandusky, died at 6:34 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 1998, in the Marion MedCenter.
She was born Sept. 24, 1912, in Hardin County, to Adrian and May (Coile) Richardson. On May 24, 1952, she married Jack L. Rall. He survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Lois Davis of Austin, Texas; a son, Joe Rall of Carey; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Lavonne) Sword of Piqua; and a brother, Ralph Schaber of Mansfield.
A brother, Robert Richardson; and a sister, Freda Curdes, are both deceased.
Mrs. Rall, the co-owner of The Point Drive In and Jack's Restaurant, also worked for Burson and Hale clothing store for 12 years and Mapes Rexall Drug Store for four years, all in Carey.
She was a former member of the Soroptimist Club of Carey and enjoyed camping and playing cards and dominos.
Services in the Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
Visitation is at the funeral home is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today.

Virginia J. Everhart
Retired secretary
Virginia J. Everhart, 77, formerly of 212 Summit St., Upper Sandusky, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 1998, at her residence at Heritage Estates, Findlay.
She was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Delaware County, Ohio, to Tracey G. and Grace (Deeds) Keller. Her husband, Ray G. Everhart, whom she married April 19, 1947, survives in Findlay.
Survivors also include: two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Barbara) De Angelis and Ellen Everhart, both of Findlay; a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Kathleen) Schweinfurth of New Bloomington, Ohio; and three brothers, Paul D. Keller of Baltimore, Md. and Gibson D. and Clarence E. Keller, both of Sycamore.
A 1939 graduate of Sycamore High School, Mrs. Everhart retired as a secretary in 1975 from the Wyandot County Treasurer's office, where she had been employed for 10 years.
She was a member of Smithville United Methodist Church and served as a former volunteer at the American Cancer Society, Wyandot Memorial Hospital and St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop, all in Upper Sandusky.
The Rev. Van Fisher will officiate at the 11 a.m. Saturday service in the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.

Velma A. Jenkins
Attica Avon representative
Velma A. Jenkins, 88, formerly of South Main Street, Attica, died at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 1998, in the Twilight Gardens Home, Norwalk.
She was born April 11, 1910, in Forest, to Henry and Edith (Owens) Gahlen. On May 27, 1947, she married Howard Jenkins, who preceded her in death in 1976.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Marilyn) Russell of Norwalk and Mrs. Archie (Lucille) Smith of Crawfordsville, Ind.; three step-sons, Richard Jenkins of Norwalk and David and Donald Jenkins, both of Piqua; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred King and Clarabelle Weaver, both of Forest.
Preceding her in death were a sister, Leota Wilson; and a brother, Gilbert Gahlen.
Mrs. Jenkins, a resident of Richmond Township, Huron County and the Attica area for 50 years, was an Avon representative in the Attica area for 30 years. In her younger years she was a school teacher.
She was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church and the Attica Senior Citizens.
Services in the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Home, Attica, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Malcom Brook and the Rev. Tom Kalb of the Attica United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Attica-Venice Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the church or the Seneca East Library, in care of the funeral home.
Frances Westover Rarick
Long-time Tiffin resident
Word has been received of the death of Frances Westover Rarick, 97, of Jonesboro, Ga., who died Friday, July 10, 1998, in Beverly Manor.
She was born in Indianapolis, Ind.,, to Dr. Leland and Sally Westover. Her husband, Joseph S. Rarick, whom she married Aug. 1, 1927, preceded her in death in 1989.
Survivors include: a son, Robert (Martha) Rarick of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Joan) Mann of Jonesboro; two granddaughters, Deborah Mann of Jonesboro and Mrs. Eddy (Julie) Watkins of Brandon, Fla.
Mrs. Rarick and her husband were long-time residents of Tiffin. She was active in the D.A.R., Garden Club and Red Cross and was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and its St. Paul's Daughters.
Burial was in Sparks Cemetery, Markle, Ind.
