Dolores M. DeWald
Housekeeper
Dolores M. DeWald, 71, of 215 Gibson St., Tiffin, died in the early afternoon Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at her residence. She was born April 18, 1928, in Bascom to William E. and Gertrude (Hoepf) DeWald. Her mother died when she was an infant. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, George and Lovina Tiell. All are deceased.
Survivors include: a brother, Francis DeWald of Bascom; two sisters, Anna Benner of Tiffin and Mary Louise Elchert of Fostoria; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were: two brothers, Ivo and Herman DeWald, and a sister, Gertrude DeWald Nichols.
Ms. DeWald was a housekeeper for 15 years at numerous Catholic churches, including St. Boniface in Oak Harbor and St. Ann's in Fremont. She was also a housekeeper for John "Jack" Friedman for 20 years. She was raised in the Catholic faith and was a member of the Allen Eiry Senior Center of Tiffin.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, Tiffin. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Bascom.
Visitation hours will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
