Vera Wing
Mother of Tiffin resident
Vera Wing, 86, formerly of 224 Heter St., Bellevue, and of Bellevue Care Center and most recently of Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, died Thursday, July 23, 1998, at Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born December 6, 1911, to Laurel H. and Ruby May (Scott) Jones in Colby, Ohio. On Aug. 31, 1935, she married Frank L. Wing in Bellevue; he died July 15, 1998.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Wing of Riverside, CA, and Robert Wing of Grand Rapid, MI; a daughter, Mrs. James (Jeannette) Ruess of Tiffin; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Garneita Sennish of Security, CO.
Mrs. Wing was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Jeff Wing; and three brothers, Clayton, Kermit and Dorwin Jones.
She was a 1932 graduate of Bellevue High School and a homemaker.
The Rev. Joseph E. Sopher will officiate the 11 a.m., Saturday, July 25, service at the Harris Funeral Home, 289 West Main st., Bellevue. Burial will be at York Chapel Cemetery, Bellevue.
Visitation hours are 10:30 to 11 a.m., Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
