Dogs returned to shelter

The hard work of the county dog warden, Seneca County Humane Society officials and Tiffin Police should be recognized for working to return the released dogs back to the shelter.

When the dogs were freed by an alleged dog thief, several organizations worked together to ensure their safe return.

Hopewell-Loudon students celebrate

Students and parents got a chance to view some of the students' achievements at the "Celebration of Youth" event this week.

The event gave everyone a chance to see the great things the students at Hopewell-Loudon are doing.

The students participating in the event, and the event's organizers, deserve a round of applause for reminding the public of the great accomplishments that take place in our schools every day.

American Cancer Society to host Relay for Life

Tip of the hat to the American Cancer Society in Seneca County and the many volunteers who work to make the Relay for Life happen.

The event, which will take place in both Fostoria and Tiffin this year, requires numerous volunteers and participants to both work to educate the public and generate funds for cancer research.

Until the day comes when cancer is no longer a threat, events like the Relay for Life and the volunteers who organize it are essential to battling the disease and helping the community.
