Seneca County to receive money
Congratulations to the officials who have worked to make certain that Seneca County receives a portion of the $201 million in conservation funds designed to protect Lake Erie and Northwest Ohio streams.
Thanks to the program local farmers can begin signing up for the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program May 2.
Mentors give students a feel for the world
Tip of the hat to Sentinel Career Center and local businesses and community leaders who have worked together to offer juniors a chance to have a mentoring program.
The program is designed so students can get a taste of what life is like in the workplace and perhaps learn some skills.
The program at Sentinel, and others like it, should be recognized as a wonderful tool to help our youth.
County health department takes aim
The Seneca County Health Department employees are in need of a good pat on the back.
The department is working to take aim at childhood diseases through vaccinations. The department offers the immunizations at several sites in the county at a lower fee to help parents make sure their children are protected.
Quite often services like these are taken for granted, let's take time to say, "Thanks."
