Hats Off

County gets new recycling coordinator

Congratulations to Rodney Miller for becoming the new Seneca County Recycling and Litter Prevention coordinator.

Miller, who will have a combined bachelor's of science degree in environmental science and geology, will start this week.

Miller will have big shoes to fill by following Jennifer Boos. Boos worked to not only educate residents of Seneca County about recycling, but also worked to provide much needed collection dates so residents could find it easier to recycle.

Miller should be able to bring a lot of useful information and services to the county.

City works to pave alleys

Tiffin Mayor Bernie Hohman has made applications for the 199 residential alley paving program available.

The program allows for alleys to be paved with the help of the residents. Hohman said the program was successful last year.

The mayor and council should be commended for working to make the city a better place to live.
