When you are asked, it's best to respondIf you live in the Tiffin City School District, how DO you feel about the proposals that have been made to ensure adequate housing of students as they learn in the coming years? For that matter, if you live in another school district, when was the last time you related your thoughts on the future of the schools to a board member or two? In the case of Tiffin, the board and administration is trying to obtain the thinking of district residents about proposals made by a consultant to address problems of space for students and aging of buildings. Besides a series of meetings to which community leaders have been invited to make such assessments, a questionnaire has been developed. It briefly spells out the options being considered for building changes and asks the respondent to comment on them, a possible bond levy, willingness to participate in a campaign, and on any other recommendation for the schools. We'd recommend that you take part. The survey form was printed in Friday's Advertiser-Tribune on page 2A. If you missed it, stop by the A-T office and we'll make you a copy. When our citizen officials ask for our opinions, we others citizens should respond. It paves the way for better decisions and better government.
