Commission on Aging dishing it up

Hats off to the Seneca County Commission on Aging for deciding to cater their own meals for seniors.

The new program is not only saving money and offsetting cuts in the federal and state allocations, but it is providing better tasting food for the seniors to enjoy. It seems the program is a success for everyone.

Helping one another

Congratulations to the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center's Pathwise for continuing their efforts to help people.

The program helps teachers help other teachers, new to the profession, to meet the challenges of the job.

It's a great way to help new teachers learn the ropes and become better educators.

Community lends a hand

A round of applause for the friends, family and community members who have donated items for the Shirley Daniel auction this weekend.

Shirley, who has leukemia, has been overwhelmed by the generosity of neighbors, family and even strangers, during her illness. Now thanks to family members, a benefit auction and lunch will take place Sunday. Once again, everyone has pitched in to help someone in need.

It's that type of caring and willingness to help another that makes Seneca County a great place to live.
