Shooting of dog also a threat to people

The nature of the shooting of a dog Nov. 10 reaches far beyond other instances of mistreatment of animals.

In this case, the dog was being walked by its owner, and was only 10 feet away from her.

The shooting was also a threat to the woman ... and to others in the residential area.

This was a serious offense.

It puts doubt in people's minds about the safety of walking on residential streets.

A pet was gunned down before the owner's eyes. What is next on the shooter's agenda?

The Tiffin police have asked for information about the incident.

Any resident who has such information would be serving the whole community if he or she came forward to help solve this crime.
