Anderson to lead Ohio School Board
A Fostoria school board member has earned quite a distinction. The president of the Fostoria Board of Education announced Monday night that Linda Anderson is president-elect of the Ohio School Board Association. Anderson, an 11-year member of the board, was appointed at the Capitol Conference. She is to assume the leadership of the 3,500 member organization in January 2002.
New Ag building will improve service
The new Agriculture Services Building, which will house the county's agriculture agencies is almost complete. The renovation cost about $1.17 million, but rents from the agencies will pay for the renovation costs while a $116,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Development is paying for the elevator. The much needed step in the consolidation of county offices will improve service and increase efficiency of building use by the county.
