Mohawk senior to join Dragons

SYCAMORE -- Mohawk senior Kendra Lease as announced that she will sign with Tiffin University to play volleyball and basketball.

Lease, a 5-11 middle hitter for the Warriors, totaled 93 kills on 286 attacks last season to go along with 75 blocks. Lease also connected on 192-of-198 serves as Mohawk gained a sectional championship a year ago.

''I've known her for quite sometime now through the local volleyball clubs,'' TU coach Bonnie Tiell said of Lease's participation in Black Swamp and Sen-San volleyball clubs. ''She is very coachable and I'm excited to be adding her to our squad.''

Lease was a second-team all Midland Athletic League pick as well as an All-District VI honorable mention selection. She also severed as the Warrior's captain.

''It think it (Tiffin) is a perfect fit for me,'' Lease said. ''Along with their solid volleyball program, I chose Tiffin for its Criminal Justice program. It's a good opportunity for me to play volleyball and get the education I want.''
