Raiders top Eastwood
PEMBERVILLE -- Lakota is just one win away from claiming a piece of the Suburban Lakes League softball championship after dumping Eastwood on Monday, 4-2.
A win tonight will put the Raiders into a tie with Gibsonburg. Lakota improved to 21-5 overall and 11-4 in the SLL while Eastwood dropped to 16-8 overall and 10-6 in the league.
Lakota had to battle back from a deficit. Eastwood scored two in the first, but the Raiders steadily got back in it with single runs in the third, fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Ashley Lockmiller won her 19th decision, striking out five and walking just two while Jamie Ray supported her at the plate with two hits. Kristin Lentz, Crystal Miller and Maria Lowery also had singles for the Raiders.
