Keegan wins Super Sprint championship

ATTICA &emdash; Chad Kemmenah won the battle, but Mark Keegan won the war.

For the 10th time in Attica Raceway Park's 12-year history, Keegan drove off with the Super Sprint championship hardware.

Kemmenah won Saturday's Super Sprint race, but Keegan earned the 1999 points title by just four points over Kemenah after finishing third.

Other points champions were Jody Keegan in Econo Sprints and Wayne Meffett Jr. in Limited Late Models.

While Kemenah led for most of the Super Sprint race, Mark Keegan had to battle everyone to finish high enough to earn the points title.

In Econo Sprints, Jody Keegan came from the last starting position to finish third for the points title while Bobby Foster took the checkered flag.

Maffett won his points title in commanding fashion, taking the Limited Late Model race over Jim Gingery.
