Mohawks fall to NB

NORTH BALTIMORE -- St. Wendelin's Jon Noe fired an 80 to tie for medalist honors with North Baltimore's Adam Benedict, but it was the Tigers who prevailed in a dual meet at Briar Hills, 344-352.

Tommy Kemp shot a 41 on each side to back Noe with an 82. Jeff Smith shot 91, Jeff Koss 99 and Brandon Duran 104. Steven Leforge injured his shoulder and did not finish.

Aaron Heyman had the Tigers second-best score, an 83. Also contributing were Dan Tellez (89) and Justin Cramer (92). Not counting toward the team score were Mark Isenberg (93) and Brian Gomez (105).

St. Wendelin falls to 1-1, while North Baltimore improves to 2-1.

Old Fort nips Tigers

Medalist Erik Lynch fired a 40 to lead Old Fort past Seneca East, 171-175, at Clinton Heights.

Backing Lynch were K.C. Fry (42), Caleb Rice (44) and Chad DeMonte (45). Also hitting the links were Jessica Garcia (46) and Brian Ryman (54).

Grant Hoerig and Scott Siecel each shot 43 to top Seneca East. Rob Molyett carded a 44, with Mike Schreiner and Randy Phillips one stroke back. Chad Mattson shot a 46.

Seneca East is at New Riegel today.
