Tiffin women take tournament

BETHEL, Tenn. -- Tiffin University improved to 5-3 and continued to tune up for the Mid-Ohio Conference schedule by winning the championship of the Bethel Tournament.

The Dragons topped host Bethel, 1-0, to take the crown. Jamie Long assisted Elizabeth Wead on the only goal of the game. Shawna Amato got credit for the shutout in goal.

"We played excellent soccer this weekend," Tiffin coach James Walker said. "We played the best we have all season. Hopefully now, we've saved some for the rest of the year. We've got some big ones coming up."

The Dragons host Indiana Wesleyan Thursday before a Saturday game at Seton Hill.
