FOSTORIA -- Dereck Hess and Josh Swander shot 38s for Hopewell-Loudon, leading the Chieftains to a 158 as a team and a tri-match sweep of Mohawk and Lakota at Loudon Meadows.

"I'm pretty happy with the way we played, considering the weather, and with what we've done this year," Hopewell-Loudon coach Steve Adelsperger said. "That was our last regular season match, and hopefully this carries over in to good play at the sectionals."
Mohawk's Scott Risner turned in a 44, and Drew Mullholland shot 45. Jared Reamer (48), Andy Hess (49), Kevin Manz (51) and Jon Gottwald (55) were also on the course for the Warriors.

Buckeye Central's John Bates fired a 38, but Seneca East turned in the more balanced effort at Clinton Heights, beating the Bucks 170-172.
"We continued to improve, despite the weather," said SE coach Gary Manasco, whose team improved to 6-5 while dumping Buckeye Central to 6-3. "We've been lowering our average as a team consistently for the last couple of weeks, and you have to be happy with that."
