Eagles beat TU in four

Ashland dropped just one game on the way to beating Tiffin University in volleyball Wednesday.

The Eagles won the match 15-7, 7-15, 15-5, 15-8, dropping TU to 10-14 overall.

"They have a very strong volleyball team," TU coach Melissa DeRan said. "I was happy at times with the way we played. We showed we can play with teams like that when we put it together."

Calvert graduate Sara Riley led the Dragons with 32 assists and 11 digs.

Melissa Weitzel slammed 12 kills and Krista Stull hammered nine more while Sarah Gutman came up with 10 digs.
