Heidelberg 17th at national meet

OSHKOSH, Wis. &emdash; Heidelberg's men finished tied for 17th Saturday in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships at Lake Breeze Golf Course in Oshkosh, Wis.

The 'Berg ended with 399 points to tie University of Wisconsin-Plattsburg. The race featured 24 teams and approximately 250 runners, with about 150 of them competing for a team.

D.J. Hensinger finished 77th overall in 25:02.4 to pace Heidelberg over the 8,000-meter course.

Adam Koppin was one place behind in 25:02.9, Aaron Hay came in 97th (25:10.5), Jason Maus was 139th (25:33.4) and Jason Perez ended up 169th (25:52.2).

Team placings for each runner were not available.

Also running for the The 'Berg were Seth Hothem (175th, 25:55.3) and Nate Gibson (177th, 25:56.7).

Kelly Gregg covered the 3,000-meter women's course in 18:23 to end up 112th overall for Heidelberg.
