USSSA World Series

The Ohio Titans 12-year-old team wound up 17th out of 80 teams from around the country at the recent USSSA World Series in Hutchinson, Kan. The Titans won all three of their pool play games and their first game in the double-elimination championship round against the Odessa, Texas, Heat. The Titans then lost to eventual USSSA World Series champion Humble, Texas, Wildcats and to the Arkansas Lil' Backs. Team members from Fostoria were Andrew Marsh, Alex Kaminsky, Anthony Munoz, Cory Williams and Marcus Hyde.

 

E League All-Stars

Tiffin held Galion to just two hits, but Galion made up for it by earning 16 walks on the way to a 12-3 win at the Plymouth Tournament for 9- to 10-year-olds. Bill Puesey and Joel Ardner each lined two singles for Tiffin, Adam Hohman and Josh Feasel both doubled and Eric Zirger and Daniel Raufer hit a single apiece. Tiffin plays New London Saturday at 9 a.m.
