![]() Saturday, January 23, 1999 Tiffin residents can use a recycling bag to get 10 By David Crawford Recycling next week can save Tiffin residents $7.50. All week, American Disposal Services will give 10 recycling bags to city residents who recycle on the designated pickup day. Residents must place a recycling bag at the curb to receive the 10 free bags. It's a one-time, one-week offer. The bags are to repay Tiffin residents for ADS's dumping of city recycled materials into a landfill. Dec. 8, the Tiffin Police Department determined ADS had taken almost eight tons of recyclable materials from the city and dumped them into a Wyandot County landfill. City officials have not received reports of a recurrence since the Dec. 8 dumping. The Tiffin recycling schedule is: Monday - Residences north of the CSX railroad line. Wednesday - Residences south of the CSX railroad and west of Washington and Melmore streets. Friday - Residences south of the CSX railroad and east of Washington and Melmore. |
