US 224, phoned the Seneca County Sheriff's Office Saturday morning to report an armed robbery. The robbery occurred at 2:50 a.m. The clerk was reportedly threatened with a pistol and told to relinquish all money. The robber was reportedly male, dressed in black and wearing a black ski mask to cover his face. The clerk complied to his demands. The robber then turned and ran out the door. One customer was in the restaurant at the time of the robbery but was seated in such a way that he didn't realize a robbery had occurred. The amount of money taken is undetermined. A similar robbery occurred Wednesday afternoon at The Drive Thru, 205 S. Sandusky St. It has not been determined if there is any connection between the two robberies but the thieves "used similar methods of operation," said Seneca County Sheriff H. Weldin Neff. Neff asks that anyone with any information regarding the robberies contact the crime stoppers hotline at 447-7086.
