Screening aimed at heart risk factors
A "Cholesterol Plus" prevention screening will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 14 at the Mercy Community Service Center, 539 W. Market St.
The charge for the screening will be $15 per person. Participants will be screened for the following risk factors: Cholesterol/HDL, diabetes and blood pressure. A professional hearing screening also will be available along with other health-related information. This program uses education and regular testing to fight the nation's number one killer, heart disease. Participants learn how to decrease their risk of heart disease by reducing their risk factors. Participants do not need to fast prior to the screening. To schedule a screening appointment, call the Mercy Education Department at 448-3124.
