Area county Dairy Princesses crowned

NEW ULM -- The Brown, Nicollet and Blue Earth County American Dairy Association crowned new 2004 Dairy Princesses as part of their annual producer meeting and coronation conducted Feb. 7 at the New Ulm Holiday Inn.

The new Brown County Dairy Princesses include Robyn Schnobrich, daughter of Rick and Kathy Schnobrich of rural New Ulm and Tammy Moldan, daughter of Mike and Joyce Moldan of Comfrey. Nicollet County's Dairy Princess is Erin Smith, daughter of Kirk and LuAnn Smith of New Ulm.

The dairy princesses serve as goodwill ambassadors for the dairy industry by appearing at various promotional events and speaking to consumers. They will be eligible to attend a statewide promotional training seminar this spring, and may apply to be considered as finalists for the Princess Kay of the Milky Way title. Twelve finalists will be selected to compete for the Princess Kay title in August at the State Fair.

2004 Dairy ambassadors were also named. From Brown County are Alissa Fischer, the daughter of Larry and Deb Fischer; Stephanie Krzmarzick and Jenna Krzmarzick, the daughters of Dennis and Diane Krzmarzick; Lisa Moldan, the daughter of Fred and LuAnn Moldan; Melissa Lax, the daughter of Steve and Jeanette Lax all of rural Sleepy Eye and Audrey Mohr, daughter of Ron and Penny Mohr of rural New Ulm.

Nicollet County Dairy Ambassadors are Sara Schwab, daughter of Bill and Barb Schwab of Gibbon; Alysha Thompson, daughter of Lee and Kim Thompson of Nicollet; Megan Herberg, daughter of Steve and Kathey Herberg of St. Peter; and Erica Seitzer, daugher of Jerry and Carol Seitzer of St. Peter.

The Blue Earth County Dairy Ambassador is Grace Phelps, daughter of Charlie and Kirsten Phelps of Good Thunder.
