Hartwig and his wife Lois and Schulz and his wife Joyce plan to remain in New Ulm. Ted Hartwig taught religion and history in New Ulm for 47 years. He served the Lutheran ministry for 55 years after graduating from the theological seminary in Mequon, Wis. and earning a liberal arts degree from Northwestern College in Watertown, Wis. The author of several theology and history books, he made 10 study tours to Europe with New Ulm Mayor Arnold Koelpin. Hartwig enjoyed visiting Britain, Western Europe, Scandinavia and The Holy Land the most. His hobbies and interests are music, literature, writing, traveling and gardening. Schulz, the Dean of Education and Ministry Studies, served in New Ulm for 45 years. He served at Mount Lebanon College in Milwaukee, Wis. before coming to New Ulm where he appreciated the students and faculty. "The quality of my colleagues over the years has been great," Schulz said. "I've met many highly-dedicated faculty and students here." Schibbelhut taught for ten years in Golden, Colo., Crete, Ill. and Fon du Lac, Wis. before serving in the general education department in New Ulm for 36 years. "It's all been enjoyable," Schibbelhut said. He and his wife Mary will move to Barre Mills, Wis. Beginning his teaching career in Milwaukee, Meyer served in the music department here for 32 years. Schulz was one of his teachers when he attended Dr. Martin Luther College. He is now a church organ consultant, meeting with parishes when they consider buying musical equipment. "New Ulm has been good to us," Meyer said. "It's a wonderful, clean, safe place to raise a family." He and his wife Patricia will be moving to Stillwater.
