LAFAYETTE -- Three people in an Owatonna family were killed in a head-on collision Sunday afternoon on Highway 15 near Lafayette.

According to the State Patrol, dead at the scene were Seth Day, 21, of Owatonna; Darcy Maria Day, 23, of Owatonna; and Simon Lance Day, 4 days old, of Owatonna. The Day family was riding in 1996 Buick Century. Passenger Seth Hansford Day, 2, of Owatonna was taken to New Ulm Medical Center and transferred to Rochester with head injuries.

Two persons in a 1994 Winnebago motor home were injured in the accident and taken to New Ulm Medical Center. Driver Dwight Buhman, 76, of Hutchinson, suffered a broken wrist and bumps and bruises. Passenger Behulah Buhman, 76, of Hutchinson, suffered a broken knee and was transferred to Mayo in Rochester, according to the State Patrol.
