NEW ULM -- Schell's Brewery hosted former Minnesota Vikings long-snapper "The Superstar" Mike Morris, Chris Hawkey and the Power Trip Morning Show Friday on TheFAN Radio Network.

After reading sports news in several newspapers on the talk show, the men discussed this weekend's National Football League games and the Minnesota Gophers-Michigan football game.

Despite the fact that the Vikings offensive backfield is deep into its depth chart, Morris and Hawkey predicted they would improve to 3-1 on the season Sunday afternoon with a win over the Houston Texans, a team in disarray, Morris said.

They agreed that the Gophers have a more formidable task as underdogs at Michigan.

After the show, Morris appeared very personable as he autographed KFAN t-shirts and ball caps for fans attending the broadcast in front of the Schell's museum and gift shop.

An avid hunter and three or four times a week weight-lifter, Morris is a special teams, strength and conditioning football coach at St. Thomas Academy (STA) in St. Paul. His son Steve is a 5-10, 155-pound strong safety on a Rosemount football team but will likely attend STA next year.

Hawkey enjoys driving race cars and hosts the FAN Motorsports show.

TheFAN visit to Schells is part of the brewery's broader promotional campaign that includes advertising on the KFAN radio web site.
