Brown County 4-H names award winners

SLEEPY EYE -- The Brown County 4-H Youth Development Program held its 2001 Awards Night at the Brown County REA Auditorium Saturday night.

Top award winners included Sons of the American Revolution R.O.T.C. Citizenship Award. It went to Julia Fischer of Sleepy Eye and Jay Graff and Michele Tomschin, both of Springfield.

The "I Dare You" Award went to Sarah Braulick of Sleepy Eye.

Outstanding 4-H Youth Leaders were Kari Scholtz (Comfrey Comets), Barb Seifert (Stark Happy Hustlers), Cheri Tomschin (Burnstown Bustlers) and Robin Piehl (Leavenworth Achievers).

Adult Leader Awards went to Leona Seidl of Stark (40 years), Stanley Bauer of Stark (25 years), Karen and Ron Domeier (Arrowhead Milford Country Club, 20 years), Sharon and Tom Hirsch (Leavenworth Lucky Clovers, 15 years), 10 year awards went to Marcy Bode of Milford, Kathy Covington of Arrowhead Milford, Janet Krieg of Burnstown and Cheryl Neidt of Brookville.

The Brown County Agricultural Society was named Outstanding 4-H Service Friend.

Ten-year member awards went to Julia Fischer of Stark, Jay graff of Leavenworth, Matthew Hacker of Brookville, Jennifer Janni of Burnstown, Wesley Lodes of New Ulm, Brady Lux of Leavenworth Achievers, Daniel Marti of Sleepy Eye, LuAnn Marti and Tony Moldan of Arrowhead Milford, Bryan Paulson of Lake Hanska/Linden Gophers, Jodi Poortvliet of Comfrey, Nathan Potter of Brookville, Joe Schieffert of Sleepy Eye, Michele Tomschin of Burnstown and Sarah Trebesch of the Leavenworth Achievers.
