NUHS students, staff donate food, clothing

Collection is

largest ever

NEW ULM -- New Ulm High School SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and staff donated more items than ever during a holiday food and clothing drive for the needy held Dec. 1-15.

Seven large boxes of food and 30 large boxes of clothing were donated to the Brown County Food Shelf and Brown County Disabled American Veterans Clothing Collection Center.

"People did a wonderful job of donating. There was a tremendous amount of clothing. More than we could fit in a vehicle," said NUHS SADD Advisor Lynette Pawelk. She began the collection drive three years ago when she came to NUHS.
