Lucan man, 21, dies in crash

LUCAN -- A fatal traffic accident near Lucan took the life of a Lucan man on Saturday.

Daniel Edward Ourada, 21, of Lucan, was pronounced dead at the scene of a traffic accident.

The Redwood County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the crash, which happened on a gravel road, 270th Street, two miles north and a quarter-mile east of Lucan. The accident was reported at 11:19 a.m. Saturday.

The sheriff's department said the accident happened when Ourada's 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 collided with an unattended heavy equipment trailer owned by Pressett Sanitation and Construction, Inc., of Morton. It is unclear what caused the crash at this writing.

Ourada's Oldsmobile was totaled in the crash. The trailer was damaged only slightly.
