PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Review of the City of New Ulm, Brown County, Minnesota, will meet on Monday the 3rd day of May, 2004 at the Commissioner's Room, Brown County Courthouse, 14 South State Street, New Ulm, MN at 9:00 a.m. Those wishing to appeal their valuation or classification should call 507-233-6606, prior to the meeting day, to set up an appointment or affirm their concerns by letter to the County Assessor, Brown County Courthouse, P.O. Box 248, New Ulm, MN 56073. Those coming with an appointment will be given priority. Those coming without an appointment will be held until last. The Board of Review cannot act on current year property taxes. They can act only on the valuation or classification for property taxes payable in 2005. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of New Ulm, Brown County, Minnesota will meet in the Council Chambers in the Public Library on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. to consider ordering in the following improvements to be made, to-wit with the exception of Items 10 and 11, which were previously approved: 2004 UTILITY, STREET AND ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS-GROUP I 1. Oak Bluffs Fourth Addition- Sanitary sewer main, water main, sewer and water end services, storm sewer, storm water quality pond, grading and aggregate base on 9th North Street, 10th North Street, Loretto Street and Bishop Lucker Lane within Oak Bluffs Fourth Addition; 2. North Highland Avenue- Sanitary sewer main, water main, sewer and water end services, storm sewer, grading and aggregate base from the Highway 14 South Frontage Road to relocated Airport Road; 3. Airport Access Road Relocation- Sanitary sewer main, water main, storm sewer, grading and aggregate base from North Highland Avenue to the Airport terminal facility; 4. Gravel Pit Access Road- Storm sewer, grading and aggregate base on newly acquired right-of-way from North Highland Avenue to Boundary Street; 5. Eighth South Street- Water main, water end services and reconstruction of the existing roadway section including excavation and replacement of subgrade, aggregate base, bituminous paving and selective replacement of concrete curb and gutter from Payne Street to Jefferson Street; 6. Ninth South Street- Reconstruction of the existing roadway section including excavation and replacement of subgrade, storm sewer, aggregate base, bituminous paving and selective replacement of concrete curb and gutter from Payne Street to Washington Street; 7. Ninth South Street- Grading, aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter, bituminous surfacing and concrete driveway pavement from Washington Street to 260 feet east; 8. North Highland Avenue- Sanitary sewer main, water main, sewer and water end services, storm sewer, and grading and graveling from Karl Drive to Westridge Road; 9. Airport Industrial Park (NUEDC)- Sanitary sewer main, water main, sewer and water end services, storm sewer, storm water quality pond, grading and aggregate base to serve Phase I (Parcel A) of the proposed Industrial Park Development; 10. North Ridge Addition- Sanitary sewer main, water main, sewer and water end service, storm sewer, grading, aggregate base and storm water quality pond on Boulder Drive and Stoneridge Drive in North Ridge Addition; 11. Sidewalk Improvements- Construct the uncompleted four inch (4") concrete sidewalk, pedestrian ramps and seven inch (7") concrete alley approaches at the following locations: a. 8th South Street from Payne to Jefferson Street (both sides); b. 14th South Street from Franklin to Washington Streets (both sides); c. North Broadway from Doris Drive to 23rd North Street (west side); and d. South Minnesota Street from 15th to 16th South Street (both sides). 12. North Highland Avenue at Boundary Street- Remove two (2) steel storage structures as part of the right-of-way acquisition. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 429.011 to 429.111. The area proposed to be assessed for such improvements is each lot, piece and parcel of property specially benefited by said improvements. The total estimated cost of the 2004 UTILITY, STREET AND ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS-GROUP I project is $2,617,055.00.
