NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City of New Ulm, Brown County, Minnesota, will meet in the Council Chambers in the Public Library, 17 North Broadway, on Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at 7:00 P.M. to consider a petition from William H. Koeckeritz, a Partner in Sunset Properties, requesting the annexation of property to the City of New Ulm. The legal description of the property proposed for annexation is as follows: THAT PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE 1/4) OF SECTION THIRTEEN (13), TOWNSHIP ONE HUNDRED TEN (110) NORTH, RANGE THIRTY-ONE (31) WEST, BROWN COUNTY, MINNESOTA, described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast Corner of Block 2, Valley Heights Addition, City of New Ulm, Brown County, Minnesota, according to a plat recorded as document number 210894; thence North 89 degrees 46 minutes 32 seconds West, an assumed bearing along the north line of said Valley Heights Addition a distance of 431.85 feet to the southerly prolongation of the easterly line of Valley Heights Second Addition according to a plat recorded as document number 226252; thence North 23 degrees 25 minutes 30 seconds West, along said prolongation and said easterly line, 617.60 feet to the southeasterly line of a 3.51 acre parcel described in a deed recorded as document number 331850; thence Northeasterly along said southeasterly line on the following described courses: 1) North 40 degrees 50 minutes 59 seconds East 97.42 feet; 2) Northerly 106.55 feet along a tangential curve concave to the west having a radius of 600 feet and a central angle of 10 degrees 10 minutes 29 seconds; 3) North 59 degrees 19 minutes 30 seconds West 50.00 feet; 4) Northeasterly 280.84 feet along a nontangential curve concave to the west having a radius of 550.00 feet, a central angle of 29 degrees 15 minutes 23 seconds and a cord of North 16 degrees 02 minutes 49 seconds East 277.80 feet; thence North 87 degrees 14 minutes 54 seconds East along the south line of a 0.99 acre parcel described in a deed recorded as document number 331850 a distance of 324.15 feet; thence continuing Easterly, along said south line, 209.93 feet on a tangential curve concave to the North having a radius of 380.00 feet and a central angle of 31 degrees 39 minutes 09 seconds to the east line of said Section 13; thence South 00 degrees 08 minutes 02 seconds West along said east line 1102.51 feet to the point of beginning. This parcel of property contains 13.39 acres, more or less. All persons in attendance will be given an opportunity to speak on this matter. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of New Ulm, Minnesota will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at 7:00p.m. in the City Council Chambers in the New Ulm Public Library, 17 North Broadway, to consider a project proposed for the property located at 2121 South Bridge Street in the City of New Ulm.

This property is leased by Beacon Promotions, Inc. and will be used for production of promotional products. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to allow for citizen involvement in the planning and implementation of the proposed project. Information will be provided on the scope, cost, activities involved, implementation schedule and proposed financing for the project. Citizens may also identify other community development needs in addition to those addressed by the proposed project. In addition, the City Council will discuss the submittal of an application for loan assistance for this project from the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development through their Investment Fund. All persons in attendance will be given an opportunity to speak on this matter. Written testimony may also be submitted prior to the meeting to the Office of the City Manager.
