NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of New Ulm, Brown County, Minnesota will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of obtaining citizen views regarding a proposed Job Opportunity Building Zone (JOBZ) Business Subsidy Agreement between the City of New Ulm and the New Ulm Precision Tool, Inc. The Public Hearing will be held at the Council Chambers located in the basement of the New Ulm Public Library.

INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Brown County Sheriff's Office is seeking bids for a food service contract, for its 56-bed adult detention facility. Bids must be post marked no later than July 20th, 2004 and mailed to: BROWN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE ATTN: CAPTAIN PAUL M. WIELAND, PO BOX 877, 15 SOUTH WASHINGTON STREET, NEW ULM, MN 56073 Specifications in part include the following: 1) Proposed bids must be submitted in a cost per meal format. 2) Inmates will be fed 3 times per day, 365 days per year including holidays. Vendor must also be able to provide cold lunches for inmates on work release programs. 3) Food Service to the Brown County Jail must meet the requirements of the Minnesota Department of Corrections 2911 Rules Governing Jail Facilities. 4) Handling of food service must comply with the Minnesota Department of Health regulations. 5) Contract duration must be a minimum of 3 years. 6) The vendor will provide any equipment necessary in addition to what is currently in place in the kitchen. 7) All meals will be prepared on site. Brown County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities therein and to select the bid deemed most advantageous to Brown County. INVITATION FOR QUOTATIONS FOR BUS TRANSPORTATION PURSUANT NO M.S. 123B.52, SUBD.3

1. Notice is hereby given, that Independent School District No. 84, Sleepy Eye Public Schools, will receive written quotations for transportation of its school children, including special education and handicapped students, according to the specification and conditions which may be obtained from the office of the Superintendent of Schools, Sleepy Eye Public Schools, Independent School District No. 84, 400 Fourth Avenue South West, Sleepy Eye, Minnesota 56085. Quotations shall be submitted in form and manner contained in the specifications and the conditions. 2. Quotations must be received in the office of the Superintendent no later than July 19th, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. at which time the quotations will be opened and tabulated and distributed to interested parties. School district representatives will conduct an oral interview with selected candidates for purposes of evaluation and negotiations. No change can be made in the written quotations without consent of the school district. 3. Prior to the submission of quotations, the school district will hold an information meeting on Thursday, July 8th, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library for the purposes of explanation of the needs and services desired by the school district. Questions will be answered. 4. On Thursday, July 29th, 2004, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., the school board will meet to evaluate the quotations and act thereon. The school district reserves the right to accept, reject or negotiate any quotation and to make an award for transportation services which is deemed most favorable and advantages to the school district. Any person whose quotation is accpeted shall be required to furnish a performance bond as specified in the specifications and conditions, which bond shall comply with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Section 574.26.
