In the Matter of the Redetermination of Benefits of Brown County Ditch No. 8 and Township Ditch No. 1

Whereas, The County Board of Commissioners, acting as the drainage authority, has appointed viewers to redetermine the benefits and damages originally determined for the construction of the aforementioned drainage systems, and whereas, the Viewers Report for each of the drainage systems for the Redetermination of Benefits has been filed with the County Auditors,

NOW, THEREFORE, Notice is hereby given that the Drainage Authority will hear public comment on the acceptance of the redetermination of benefits at the Commissioner Room in the Brown County Courthouse in New Ulm, Minnesota on August 5th, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. All persons interested in the redetermination of benefits wanting to be heard should appear at this time. If accepted, the redetermined benefit will replace those now being used and all future maintenance expenses will be assessed based upon the redetermined benefits.

Also at the public hearing the board will consider of the consolidation of Township Ditch No. 1 with County Ditch No. 8. It has long been assumed that they were one and the same and this action will make them legally one drainage system for future maintenance or improvement.

These Ditches provide an outlet to portions of Sections 18, and 19 of Albin Township (T-108-N, R-30-W), and Sections 13, 24, and 25 of Lake Hanska Township (T-108-N, R-31-W) in Brown County Minnesota.
