NOTICE OF MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE SALE

Date: December 11, 2002.

YOU ARE NOTIFIED THAT:

1. THE RIGHT TO VERIFICATION OF THE DEBT AND IDENTITY OF THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR WITHIN THE TIME PROVIDED BY LAW IS NOT AFFECTED BY THIS ACTION.

2. THIS COMMUNICATION IS FROM A DEBT COLLECTOR ATTEMPTING TO COLLECT A DEBT. ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED WILL BE USED FOR THAT PURPOSE.

3. Default has occurred in the conditions of the mortgage dated April 26, 2000, executed by Douglas B. Harris and Paula R. Harris, husband and wife, as Mortgagors, to Conseco Finance Loan Company, as Mortgagee, and filed for record May 26, 2000, and memorialized upon Certificate of Title No. 131 as Document No. 2593 in the Office of the Registrar of Titles of Brown County, Minnesota. The land described in the mortgage is registered land.

4. The mortgage has been assigned as follows: not applicable.

5. The original principal amount secured by the mortgage was: $44,537.14.

6. No action or proceeding at law is now pending to recover the debt secured by the mortgage, or any part thereof.

7. The holder of the mortgage has complied with all conditions precedent to acceleration of the debt secured by the mortgage and foreclosure of the mortgage and all notice and other requirements of applicable statutes.

8. At the date of this notice, the amount due on the mortgage, and taxes, if any, paid by the holder of the mortgage is: $50,362.52.

9. Pursuant to the power of sale in the mortgage, the mortgage will be foreclosed and the land described as follows:

Lot 8, Block 1, Westview Subdivision;

will be sold by the County Sheriff of Brown County, Minnesota, at public auction on February 12, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sheriff's office, 15 South Washington Street in the city of New Ulm, County of Brown, State of Minnesota.

10. The time allowed by law for redemption by mortgagor or mortgagor's personal representatives or assigns is six months after the date of sale.

11. THE TIME ALLOWED BY LAW FOR REDEMPTION BY THE MORTGAGOR, THE MORTGAGOR'S PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES OR ASSIGNS, MAY BE REDUCED TO FIVE WEEKS IF A JUDICIAL ORDER IS ENTERED UNDER MINNESOTA STATUTES, SECTION 582.032, DETERMINING, AMONG OTHER THINGS, THAT THE MORTGAGED PREMISES ARE IMPROVED WITH A RESIDENTIAL DWELLING OF LESS THAN FIVE UNITS, ARE NOT PROPERTY USED IN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION AND ARE ABANDONED.

Regular Meeting of the Board of Education Independent School District 88 New Ulm, Minnesota

A Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 88, New Ulm, Minnesota, was held on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. in the Annex Board Room. Members present: Sheldon Rieke, Sue Ullery, Dr. Steve Wachter, Mark Wiger, and Susan Nierengarten. Also present: Superintendent Harold Remme, Business Manager Donna Luhring, and Director of Curriculum/Instruction/Personnel Bill Sprung. Absent: Brian Wieland and Tim Babel.

The meeting was called to order and guests were welcomed by Chairperson Ullery.

1. Nierengarten/Rieke to approve the consent agenda items as presented. (Unanimous.)

The meeting was delcared a legal meeting; approved the agenda as published; approved the minutes of the November 25, 2002 meeting; approved the wire transfers totaling $1,147,060.98; approved the October 2002 Cash Balance Report; accepted the donations from Susan Witte, Thomas and Marcy MacAulay, Charles and Phyllis Sherman and Sertoma; accepted the resignation of Catherine Weller; approved the hiring of Pat Poncin as an Extended Day Teacher; approved the 2003 mileage rate of 36 cents/mile; approved the extracurricular contracts as presented.

2. Students of the Week- The following students received Student of the Week certificates: Brian Mohr, son of Penny and Ron Mohr, from the Industrial Tech Department; Crystal Fluegge, daugher of Marcy and Wayne Fluegge, from the Agriculture Department; Stephen Hines, son of Anna and Robert Hines, from the Math Department; Sharon Toland, daughter of Linda and Ronald Toland from the Instrumental Music Department and Kristin Nierengarten, daughter of Susan and Hugh Nierengarten, from the Instrumental Music Department. A short recess was taken to congratulate the students and parents.

3. The following reports were given: Superintendent's Report by Supt. Harold Remme; Facilities Committee Report and Trust Committee Report by Sheldon Rieke; River Bend Report by Mark Wiger; and Announcements by Sue Ullery.

4. An MREA video was shown during Dialogue Time.

5. Wiger/Wachter to approve the Jefferson and Washington Elementary Staff Development Reports as presented. (Unanimous.)

6. Nierengarten/Wiger to approve the 2002 Payable 2003 Levy Certification ($2,418,537.47) as presented. (Unanimous.)

7. Wachter/Nierengarten to approve Supplementary Payroll for November 2002 in the amount of $31,057.70 and bills for audit for Decmeber 6, 2002 in the total amount of $222,771.89 as presented. (Unanimous.)

8. Nierengarten/Rieke to indicate, by letter, the intent to enter into negotiations with the Superintendent of Schools for a new employment contract effective July 1, 2003. (Unanimous.)

9. Wachter/Rieke to adjourn the meeting at 8:29 p.m. (Unanimous.)

10. A Board Work Session followed the meeting.
