Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at St. Michael's Catholic Church with a Knights of Columbus service 7 p.m. followed by a parish service at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday at 8 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Nelson Funeral Home in Morgan is handling arrangements. He is survived by wife Ruth, of Morgan; sons and daughters-in-law, Pat and Mary Green of Burnsville, Tom and JoAnn Green, Jim and Shirley Green all of Morgan; daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Dick Pistulka of Willmar, Laure Green of Richfield, Kris Green and Mike Shibe of Anchorage, Alaska, Kathy and Mark Thompson of Burnsville; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Lucille Green of Morgan; sister and brother-in-law, Mae and Bob Vollbrecht of New Brighton. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. He was born March 20, 1919 in Morgan Township, Redwood County to George and Mary (Reding) Green. He graduated from Morgan High School in 1938. He married Ruth Josephine Scharfencamp on Nov. 4, 1942 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan. They resided in Morgan for a year before moving to Three Lakes Township where they farmed for 53 years before retiring and moving back to Morgan in 1996. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Knight of Columbus, St. Michael's cemetery board, serving as treasurer. He was treasurer of Three Lakes Township board for 30 years. He was also a member of the Morgan Lions Club, and played music with the Casino Boys, RythmAires, Clem Brau, and the Jolly Lumberjacks. Kenneth C. Manderfeld, 71, of 700 James Ave. in Mankato, and formerly of New Ulm died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and will continue 7:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at funeral home. He is survived by one sister, Shirley "Mutzie" and Leo Meinhardt of New Ulm; niece, Lois "Toots"and Roger Kalz of New Ulm; nephews, Tom and Peggy Hartl of Portland, Ore., Mike and Betty Meinhardt of Friendship, Wis., Ron and Kathy Meinhardt of Bloomington, and Richard Meinhardt of New Ulm. He was preceded in death by sister, Sally Hartl. He was born Dec. 15, 1927, in New Ulm to Charles and Anna Marie (Dietz) Manderfeld. He graduated from New Ulm High School in 1945. He worked for Barry's Dairy in New Ulm. He joined the New Ulm Police Department in 1956 and retired in 1978. After retiring he worked part time for several years doing meter repair. He moved to the Mankato House in Mankato in 1995. Florence L. Bethke, 84 of Fairfax died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999 at Fairfax Community Home. Services are e 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church in Fairfax with burial in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Cairo Township, Renville County. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax and one hour prior to the service at the church.
