Online Obituaries Sunday, January 10, 1999 January obits by date  January obits by name December obits by date  December obits by name Click here for today's obituaries    Elmer Eichstadt, 91, of rural Sanborn, died on Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.    Services are at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn, with burial in the church cemetery.    Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, and one hour prior to services at the church.    He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and John Ebeling, of Trimont; sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Irene, of Albert Lea, Arvin and Shirley of Crescent, Iowa, and Merlin and Suzanne of Shakopee; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Carl, of Sanborn, and Harvey and Irene, of Lucan.    He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther, in 1989; brother Ervin and sister Ada.    He was born Aug. 14, 1907, in Storden Township, Cottonwood County, to Emil and Martha (Krahn) Eichstadt. He moved to Charlestown Township with his parents at an early age. He married Esther Winkelmann on Jun. 4, 1929 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. Following marriage he farmed in Germantown Township until moving to Valley View Manor in 1996.    Eldora Pfarr, 77, of Lamberton, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.    Services are at 11 a.m. Monday, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lamberton.    Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, 7:30-9 a.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton and one hour prior to services at the church.    She is survived by daughter, June Schrupp, of Lamberton; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Mavis, of Lamberton; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Alma Geer of Minneapolis, Lena Ayres of Storden, and Ella Pfarr of Lamberton; brother-in-law, David Pfarr of Lamberton; and nieces and nephews.    She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, in 1991; brothers Raymond, Eddie and Leo; step-brothers, Archie and Walter Schnormeier, and step-sister Lavon Comnick.    She was born Sept. 26, 1921, in Lamberton, to George and Phoebe Valley. She married Daniel Pfarr on Sept. 4, 1942, in Wanda. She was a homemaker and lived in Lamberton and Walnut Grove all her life. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton.
