   Elmer Eichstadt, 91, of rural Sanborn, died on Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
   Services are at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn, with burial at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, and one hour prior to services at the Church.
   He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and John Ebeling, of Trimont; sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Irene, of Albert Lea, Arvin and Shirley of Crescent, Iowa, and Merlin and Suzanne of Shakopee; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Carl, of Sanborn, and Harvey and Irene, of Lucan.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther, in 1989; brother Ervin and sister Ada.
   He was born Aug. 14, 1907, in Storden Township, Cottonwood County, to Emil and Martha (Krahn) Eichstadt. He moved to Charlestown Township with his parents at an early age. He married Esther Winkelmann on June 4, 1929 at St.He was well known as a broom maker and water witcher. He farmed in Germantown Township until moving to Valley View Manor in 1996.

   Emma Stark, 87, of Sleepy Eye, died on Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, in Sleepy Eye.
   Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye, with burial in the Springfield City Cemetery, Springfield.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and one hour prior to services at the church.
   She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and CeCe Stark, of Nisswa; daughters and sons-in-law, Norma Hudson, of St. James, Wilma and Dean Bishir, of Minneapolis, Joyce and Richard Anderson, of Burnsville, Linda and Del Henze, of Mapleton; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Leona Struck of Fairmont, and brother, Fred Maas of Jamestown, N.D.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, William; infant daughter, Darlene Ruth; and grandson, Craig Henze.
   She was born May 4, 1911, to Carl J.F. and Hermine A.M. (Rieck) Maas near Garfield. She married William Stark on Aug. 12, 1936, in Flandrau, S.D. The couple in the Sleepy Eye, Springfield and Comfrey area until retirement in 1976 when they moved to Sleepy Eye. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye and St. John's Ladies Aid.

   Esther Schultz, 92, of Stewart, died on Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Glencoe Area Health Center.
   Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake, with burial at Zion Evangelical Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4:30-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Zion United Methodist Church. Arrangements with Hughes Funeral Home.
   She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nolan and Peggy, of Stewart; son-in-law and his wife, Everett and Billie Diepold, of Stewart; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband ,Herbert; daughter Jeanette Diepold; and brothers and sisters.
   She was born Feb. 3, 1906, in Waseca, to Edward and Sarah (Papke) Weispfennig. She grew up in Grafton Township and attended rural school and Buffalo Lake High School. She married Herbert Schultz on Dec. 17, 1936, at Evangelical Church parsonage in Buffalo Lake. The couple farmed in Round Grove Township for many years. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church.

   Bruce Wieland, 43, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999.
   Services were Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
   Dobrantz-Hantge Chapel of Hutchinson handled arrangements.
   He is survived by his wife, Lynn Carlson, of Hutchinson; son, Tyler Wieland; stepdaughter, Michelle Berghuis; two stepgrandchildren, Gabe and Cody; mother and father-in-law, Irene and Verne Carlson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Warren and Jean of Darwin, and Ronald and Rose of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Priscilla Wieland, of Bloomington; brothers-in-law and their wives, Greg and Kathy Carlson, of Delafield, Wisc., Todd Carlson of Hutchinson.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Louise; and brothers, Darwin and Gerald.
   He was born Oct. 14, 1955, in New Ulm, to Willard and Louise (Paulson) Wieland. He graduated from New Ulm High School in 1974. He married Lynn Carlson on Dec. 7, 1994, in Las Vegas. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He worked at ADC Solitra and was a member of the American Legion in Hutchinson.

   Albert Jensen, 81, of Morgan, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999 at Redwood Falls Hospital.
   Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Evan with burial in Danneo Cemetery in Brookville Township.
   Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials preferred to Hospice in lieu of flowers.
   Nelson Funeral Services handled arrangements.
    He is survived by his wife, Ruby of Morgan; daughters and son-law, Barbara and Bob Forster of Glencoe, and Rita and Bob Westrum of Clearbrook; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lorraine of Bagley; daughter-in-law Sherrie Jensen of Port Orchard, Wash.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Kuelbs and Myrtle Kyar, both of Sleepy Eye; brother, Clarence, of Sleepy Eye.
   He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; brothers, Everett, Norbert, Orvin and Sherman; sister Hertha Bargan; and great-grandson Andrew Fennern.
   He was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Brookville Township, Redwod County, to John and Clara (Schultz) Jensen. He grew up in Brookville Township and received his education there. He married Ruby Rasmussen on Mar. 20, 1941, at Trinity Lutheran Parsonage in Sleepy Eye. They farmed in the Sleepy Eye, Seaforth and Morgan areas and moved to rural Clearbrook in 1969 where he farmed until his retirement in 1974. Following retirement he moved to Leonard. He moved to Morgan in 1995 where he was a resident of Gil-Mor Manor Nursing Home. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Evan and a city councilman in Leonard.

   Esther Manthey, 91, of Gaylord, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Arlington Municipal Hospital.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at American Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with burial at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Gaylord.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord, and one hour prior to services at the church.
   She is survived by her sister, Clara Pautsch of Gaylord; and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Walter Pautsch.
   She was born Feb. 18, 1907, in Sibley Township, rural Gaylord, to Julius and Anna (Otto) Manthey. She attended school at District 59 in Sibley Township. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Gaylord and a member of the ALCW. She was an employee of the Gaylord Community Hospital as nurse's aide for 25 years.
