Robert Satre, 69, of Winthrop, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at Minnesota Veterans Home, Luverne.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, Winthrop, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7:30 p.m. today at Hantge-Dalin Funeral Home, Winthrop, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. conducted by Sibley Lodge, and will continue 7:30-9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour before services at the church.
Memorials may be given to an organization of choice.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene; son, Kevin and wife Gayla of Mankato; daughter, Jill Michel and husband Tony of Waconia; grandsons, Matthew, Jack and Nicholas Michel; sister-in-law, Lorraine Stetler and husband William of N. Fort Meyers, Fla.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and an infant son.
He was born Jan. 13, 1931, in Bricelyn to Hans E. and Alma A. (Lee) Satre. He attended school in Bricelyn and graduated from West Concord High School in 1949. He served as a medic in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1954 during the Korean Conflict. He married Marlene Ibberson on Aug. 4, 1957, in Sleepy Eye. He ran the Palace Clothing Store, Winthrop, from 1956 until his retirement in January 1990. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council. He was a member of Sibley Masonic Lodge, American Legion and VFW. He was a charter member of Winthrop Ambulance Crew and a former member of Winthrop Golf Course Board, Winthrop Area Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club.
Gertrude Stadtherr, 92, of Gibbon, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Lafayette Good Samaritan Care Center.
Arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon.
James Suess, 59, of Butterfield, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at New Ulm Medical Center Hospital.
Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, St. James.

, 94, of Nicollet died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Grandview Care Center in St. Peter.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with burial in the church cemetery, rural Nicollet.
Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet and will continue for one hour prior to time of service at the church on Thursday.

Ervin E. Moeller, 69, died at Jackson Medical Center Hospital in Jackson, on Monday, Jan. 10, 2000.
Services were held last Thursday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson with burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Fairfax. Sathe and Son Funeral Home in Jackson handled arrangements.
He is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosann and Robert Kolpien of Jackson, Gladys and Meril Reed of Darfur; and brothers, Albert Moeller of Blue Earth and James Moeller of Fairfax.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born June 16, 1930, in rural Barrett to Frederick and Marie (Puchalski) Moeller. His family moved from Barrett to Fairfax. In 1976 he began living with his sister and brother-in-law, Rosann and Robert Kolpien. They lived in EauClaire, Wis. from 1976 to 1978 and in Windom from 1979 to 1981 when they moved to Jackson. He attended the Swan Lake D.A.C. (Development Achievement Center) at Delhi from 1979 to 1981. From 1981 to the present he attended the Jackson County D.A.C. at Lakefield.
Dennis W. Urke, 71, of rural Vesta-Milroy area, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at Wood Dale Nursing Home, Redwood Falls.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Ashford Presbyterian Church in Milroy, with burial in the Vesta Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and continues one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Dave Anderson, of Fridley, and Kathleen and Jim Zwaschka, of Milroy; son and daughter-in-law, David and Brenda Urke, of Greenville, SC; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Urke, of Redding, Cal.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Yvonne and Bill Little of Yankton, S.D., and Diane and Roger Bell of Marshall.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marion, and a sister, Gladys Reinboldt.
He was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Kintire Township, Redwood County, to Carl and Lucy (Rust) Urke. He grew up in the Delhi, Wabasso and Milroy areas, attending country school. He graduated from Milroy High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army for four years. He married Marion Keyser on June 17, 1950, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They farmed in Underwood Township, Redwood County. He retired from farming in 1995. He was a member of Ashford Presbyterian Church, past president of the Vesta Lions and the Vesta Elevator Board.
Armin A. Becker, 82, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church in Oelwein with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein. Military services will be conducted by Ross Reid Post 9. A memorial fund has been established.
He is survived by his wife, Marcella; daughters, Victoria Huinker of Oelwein, Valerie and Douglas Schultz of Marshalltown, Iowa and Virginia and Ray of Goodall of Urbana, Iowa; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law Frederick and Dorothy Becker of Mesa, Ariz., and Walter and Elvira Becker of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Erna, Hertha, Mable and Alice; and brothers Herbert and Wilbert.
He was born July 26, 1917, in Courtland to Frederick and Alma (Klippstein) Becker. He graduated from New Ulm High School in 1937. On April 13, 1941, he married Marcella Weydert in Estherville, Iowa. He worked as a salesman with International Harvester in New Richland. He moved to Oelwein in 1953 and worked for New Holland Machine Co. until 1962. He then worked for Life Investments of America until the present time. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the church choir; American Legion Ross Reid Post 9 and VFW.
George Wagner, 67, of Sioux Falls, S.D., died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at Avera McKennan Hospital.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Sioux Falls.
Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls. The family will be present from 7-8 p.m. and cremation will follow.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne; son, Brett of Eagan; daughter, Heidi Wagner of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Cody, Wagner, Tagyn and Kyra, all of Sioux Falls; brothers, Don of Moorhead, and Virgil of Tekamah, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Ruth.
He was born April 2, 1932, in Red Lake Falls, to George and Marle Wagner. He graduated from Red Lake Falls High School in 1951. He received his bachelor of science degree in business and physical education from Bemidji State Teachers College in 1957. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He earned his master's of science degree in school administration in 1960 from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. He married Dianne E. Engelbretson in 1956. He taught business and physical education in Fisher and in Army Independent Schools in Orlean, France and Wurtzburg, Germany. He was a high school principal in Akley, McGregor, Wabasha, Pipestone and New Ulm, and an assistant principal in Rosemount. After retiring in 1992, he moved to Sioux Falls. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sioux Falls. He was a member of Sioux Falls Elk Lodge and Phi Delta Kappa.
Florian Turbes, 96, of Springfield, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at Sleepy Eye Municipal Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4:30-7 p.m. today and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and a men's rosary at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
He is survived by daughters, Kathleen and husband Sam Hauger of Springfield, Marilyn Roiger of Carroll, Iowa, and Mary Jane and husband Clarence David of Sanborn; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Matt and wife Eleanor of Sleepy Eye, Sylvester and wife Myrtle of Sleepy Eye, Victor and wife Doris of Maple Plain and James and wife Cyrilla of Springfield.; sister, Loretta Wenisch of Springfield; and sisters-in-law, Mary Turbes of Sleepy Eye and Annabelle Turbes of Redwood Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gertrude in 1990; daughter, LaDonna Driscoll in 1984; and brothers, George, Raymond, Leo and Ed.
He was born March 25, 1903 in Stark Township, Brown County, to Hubert and Mary (Grausam) Turbes. He attended country school. He married Gertrude Wenisch on Feb. 25, 1930, in Springfield. They farmed in Redwood County for 40 years, retiring and moving into Springfield in 1970. He became a resident of Divine Providence Home, Sleepy Eye, in 1998. He was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield, and was a former member of the Senior Citizens.
Leona Reiffenberger, 75, of Madison, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Madison Lutheran Home.
Services were Saturday, with burial in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Madison.
She is survived by daughters, Dolores and husband Tom Kirchberg of New Ulm, Mary and husband Gene Koosmann of Madison and Karen and husband Bruce Rudd of Lakeville; sons, Donald and wife Joan of Big Stone City, S.D., Roger of Brooklyn Center, and Chuck and wife Korinne and Leo and wife Lisa, of Madison; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, MaryAnn Balster of Wilmont, Alice and husband Ray Mensen of West Union and Lucille Konz of Ontario, Calif.; and sister-in-law Marie Vortherms of Wilmont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norbert; son Joseph; brothers, Lawrence, Joseph and an infant brother; sisters, Agnes Konz, Marcella in childhood, and Verna in infancy; and brothers-in-law, Luke Konz and Al Balster.
She was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Wilmont, to Joseph and Anna (Schlichte) Vortherms. She attended school at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Wilmont. She married Norbert Reiffenberger on Jan. 29, 1946, in Wilmont. They farmed in the Rosen area for 36 years. They retired and moved to Madison in 1982.
Evelyn Okins, 74, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, in the Redwood Falls Hospital.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and will continue Thursday one hour prior to services at the church. Sunset Funeral Home of Echo is handling arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Donald Okins Jr. of Easton, Penn., Kay and Bill Peters of Redwood Falls, Larry and Linda Okins of Redwood Falls, Gary Okins of Owatonna and Stacy of Pipestone; brother, Ernest and Ellen Frederiksen of Redwood Falls; nine grandchildren, two nephews, and one great-granddaughter.
She was born July 29, 1925, to Carl and Elizabeth (Brtek) Frederiksen in Sherman Township, Redwood County. She graduated from Wabasso High School in 1943. She graduated from teachers training in Lamberton in 1944. On Aug. 25, 1946, she married Donald Okins in the Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls. She taught in rural school districts 100, 47, 93, 1754, and U.T. for 11 years and the kindergarten class in Belview for six weeks. In May of 1974 she graduated from Southwest State College in Marshall with a B.S. degree in elementary education. She taught fourth grade in Reede Gray School for 16 years. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, belonged to a circle, served on the Christian Education Committee, belonged to P.W.P., served as as P.E.C. moderator and as an ordained deacon. She was a member of Minnesota Education Association and Redwood Falls V.F.W. Auxiliary.
