   John Meyer , 14, of Gibbon, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, from injuries received in a snowmobile accident in Nicollet County.
    The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon with burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Moltke Township, Sibley County.
   Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-10:30 a. m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his father, Russell Meyer and his wife Lisa Meyer of Gibbon; his mother, Sue Meyer of Gibbon; sisters, Amy Bridget Meyer, a student at North Park University in Chicago, Ill., and Laura Beth Meyer of Gibbon; stepbrother, Tyler Schmit of Gibbon; stepsisters, Katrina Schmit, and Kassandra Schmit of Cokato; grandparents, Arnold and Dorothy Meyer of Gibbon, and Donald and Dorothy Nazarenus of Sleepy Eye; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
   He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
   He was born May 4, 1985, at Sioux Valley Hospital in New Ulm to Russel and Susan (Nazarenus) Meyer. He attended his first two years of school at the St. Peter's Lutheran School in Moltke Township, Sibley County. He then attended G.F.W. School and currently was a freshman at G.F.W. in Winthrop.

   Nicholas B. Hillesheim , 86, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000. at St. John Home in Springfield.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m.today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service at 5 p.m. and a K.C. & C.O.F. rosary at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his children and their spouses, Sharon and Lester Malecha of Lonsdale, Ronald "Butch" and Nancy Hillesheim of Nashua, Iowa, Gary and Rosie Hillesheim of Sleepy Eye, Dean and Margaret Hillesheim of Minnetonka, Susan and Tom Schewe of Sleepy Eye; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Verna Rein of Shakopee and Rose Prokosch of Lamberton.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Veronica in 1997; brothers, Hubert, Herman, Henry, Edwin, "Sam," Art and Leonard; sisters; Katherine Ruby and Margaret Busch; and brothers-in-law, Jerome Rein and John "Jack" Prokosch.
   He was born May 20, 1913, in rural Sleepy Eye to Joseph A. and Margaret (Mertz) Hillesheim. He attended Iberia country school. He married Veronica T. Marz on May 1, 1939, in Faribault. The couple made their home on Nick's family home farm in Stark Township. They farmed there until retiring and moving to Sleepy Eye in 1975. He was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, the Sleepy Eye Lion Club, the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He also served on the Stark Township Board, Iberia School Board and St. Mary's Cemetery Board.
   The family prefers memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.

   Harold G. Blaesing, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
   Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with a 1:15 p.m. burial in St. John's Cemetery in Arlington Township, Sibley County.
   Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements were made with Fenske Funeral Home of Arlington.
   He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Blaesing of Waconia; sister-in-law, Norine Moritz Blaesing of Madison; nephew, Curtis Blaesing of St. Cloud; two nieces and four great-nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alvina in 1974; brothers, Raymond, Carl Jr., and Arnold Blaesing; and sister, Eleanore Blaesing.
   He was born on July 21, 1913, in Henderson to Carl and Bertha (Seltz) Blaesing. He attended St. John Evangelical Lutheran Parochial School and two years of country school. He served in the U.S. Army from May 9, 1942 to Nov. 24, 1944 with a rank of Private 1st Class. He married Alvina Borth on Jan. 20, 1962, at Immanuel Lutheran parsonage in Gaylord. He farmed on the family farm until September of 1981 when he moved to Arlington. He became a resident of Arlington Good Samaritan Center in July 1998.

   Orie Lund , 86, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Renville County Hospital in Olivia.
   Services are 2 p.m. today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector with burial in the Hector City Cemetery.
   Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Arrangements were handled by Hughes Funeral Homes, Hector.
   He is survived by his wife Alice Lund of Hector; children and their spouses, Marcia and Duane Murphey of Pierre, S.D., David and Deborah Lund of Duluth, Ga.; four grandchildren; many nieces, nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and eight sisters.
   He was born June 2, 1913, at his parents' farm in Palmyra Township, Renville County, to Olaus and Marie (Halvorson) Lund. He grew up in Palmyra Township. On April 30, 1945, he married Alice Helm at the First Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. He drove bus for Northland Greyhound Lines of Minneapolis. He moved to Franklin and then to Hector in 1954. He drilled water wells with his brother Phillip, and after Phillip's death, he continued in the drilling business. He did custom combining going south in May and working his way north to Canada covering nine states. He retired in 1975. He was a member of the Willmar Car Club. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector.

   Loretta Moldan, 85, of Gibbon died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Home.
   Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in Gibbon.
   Visitation will be 8-11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon. There will be a combined rosary by St. Willibrord's CCW and St. Willibrord's Catholic Aid Association at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon is in charge of the arrangements.
