Loretta L. Moldan, 85, of Gibbon, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at Winthrop Good Samaritan Home. Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in Gibbon. Visitation is 8-11 a.m. today at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon. There will be a combined rosary by the St. Willibrord's CCW and the St. Willibrord's Catholic Aid Association at 10 a.m. today at the church. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon is in charge of the arrangements. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Bernadette and James Berger of Gibbon, Theresa and Randy Antone of Lakeside, Ariz.; sons, James Moldan of Minneapolis, Francis Moldan of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Angie Berger, Mark Berger and his fiancee, Kathleen Kutka, Tiffany Antone and Trevor Antone; sister, Florence Sellner of Sleepy Eye; and sister-in-law, Louisa Mathiowetz of Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John F. Moldan on March 27, 1995. She was born on March 19, 1914, in Severance Township, Sibley County, to Henry and Barbara (Liebl) Huhn. She graduated from Cathedral High School in New Ulm and received her teacher's degree at Mankato Teachers College in Mankato. She taught in Moltke Township, Sibley County, serving District 62. She married John F. Moldan on June 7, 1939, at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon. They farmed in Severance Township, Sibley County, until the 1960s. They retired from farming in 1976 and moved into Gibbon. In 1992, she received the Bishop's Medal of Service from the Diocese of New Ulm for 38 years as a teacher in the Parish Religious Education Program at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon and was a member of the St. Willibrord's Catholic Aid Association and the Council of Catholic Women. Mary Roberts, 72, of Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at New Ulm Medical Center. Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, with burial in Home Cemetery, Veterans Section, Sleepy Eye. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. There will be a parish prayer service at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Myrtle (Halverson) Dudler, 69, of Denver, Colo., died Dec. 29, 1999, of lymphoma cancer. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 2255 South Oneida Street, Denver, CO 80224. A memorial service was held in Denver on Jan. 1, Another memorial service will be held in Brighton Township, on Saturday June 24 at 11 a. m. She is survived by her husband, Randy Dudler of Denver; son, Andy Dudler of Iowa City, Iowa; daughter, Sally Harper of Lancaster, Wis.; grandchildren, Matthew and Erin Harper; brother, Robert Halverson of Brighton Township; sister, Doris Halverson of New Ulm; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was born on Aug. 11, 1930, to Harris and Florence (Hasse) Halverson of Brighton Township, Nicollet County. On Sept. 2, 1956, she married Randolph Max Dudler of New York at the Brighton Methodist Church. She was an active member of Washington Park United Methodist Church of Denver and other church groups. She worked at the Rocky Mountain United Methodist Church headquarters and at the American Cancer Society in Denver for the past 12 years. Florian J. Helget, 88, of Springfield died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 7 p.m. parish prayer service, and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Chapel. A men's rosary will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. He is survived by his wife, Leona of Springfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Sally Helget of Springfield, Kevin and Sue Helget of Franklin; daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Ralph Schley of Kent, Wash., Betty and Gerald Kieper of Springfield, Joanne and Richard Groebner of Sleepy Eye; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; grandson, Paul; brothers, Joseph, Edward, Wensel, John, Clement, Leonard, Arthur; and sisters, Amelia Kral, Carla Helget. He was born Aug. 14, 1911, in Stark Township, Brown County, to Joseph and Margaret (Neidecker) Helget. He married Leona Rothmeier on June 1, 1938, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. They farmed in Burnstown Township until 1959 when they moved to Springfield. He worked at Hiers Feedmill and the Acolite plant until retiring. He was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, and the St. Jon's Society in Sleepy Eye. Herb Theissen, 97, of Lakefield, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at Jackson Medical Center. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Hansen Funeral Home, Lakefield, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. A memorial mass will be scheduled at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
