Norbert R. Bruess , 80, of rural Springfield, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at the Springfield Medical Center. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye with burial in Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, and 9-11 a.m., Wednesday, Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Veronica Huhn , 89, of rural Gibbon, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004 at the Lake View Nursing Home in Gaylord. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m.Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the St. George Catholic Church in St. George with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Veronica is survived by her sisters, Elenora Huhn a resident of the Lake View Home in Gaylord, and Marcella Sellner of Newport; and a brother, Albert Huhn of rural Gibbon. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, John Huhn on October 15, 1999. Veronica was born on August 19, 1914, in West Newton Township, Nicollet County to John and Gertrude (Voltin) Huhn. She attended country school in West Newton Township, Nicollet County. At the age of twenty- eight, she moved to the Twin Cities area where she worked as a maid and later as a cook for various families. In the late Sixties, she moved back home to care for her mother, Gertrude. In October of 1999, she became resident of the Lake View Nursing Home in Gaylord. She was a member of the St. George Catholic Church in St. George. Robert 'Hodell' Rudell , 37, of New Ulm, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at the New Ulm Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday and 7:30-10 a.m., Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A complete obituary will appear in the Monday edition.. LuVerna D. Weckworth , 82, of Gaylord, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Services are 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Monday; and 7:30-8:30 a.m,. Tuesday, at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord; and continues one hour before services Tuesday at the church. LuVerna is survived by son Howard Weckworth of rural Arlington; daughters, Karen Burzynski of Hutchinson, Bonnie Nelson of Litchfield; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister Sophia Bentz of Glencoe. She was born March 17, 1921, in Bergen Township, McLeod County, to Jacob and Olga (Voss) Terlinden. Marie Windhorn , 83, of 110 1/2 N. Minnesota St., died, Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at her home. Funeral arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
