Hilda Christensen, 85, of Redwood Falls, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003 at Redwood Area Hospital. Services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls with burial in Redwood Falls Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home, Redwood Falls and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service. She is survived by sons, Paul and Chris of Redwood Falls, Nels of Wabasso; daughter Elizabeth Schoer of Wabasso; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Richard Raddatz of Redwood Falls; and sister Leona Lantto of Annandale. She was born Oct. 1, 1917, to Emil and Anna (Struckmann) Raddatz in New Avon Township, Redwood County, Minnesota. Clinton Daak, 75, of Buffalo Lake, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at Hutchinson Community Hospital. Services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stewart with burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation is one hour before services at the church. Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart handled arrangements. He is survived by children, Charles of Olivia, Richard of Stewart, Diane Eisenschenk of St. Joseph, Kenneth of Jordan, Bruce of Olivia, Susan of Hutchinson and Steve of Buffalo Lake; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Merlin of Litchfield, Vern of Hutchinson, Wayne of Glendale, Ariz. and Roger of Stewart. He was born June 29, 1927, in McLeod County to Herbert and Melinda (Haag) Daak. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Orevilla Kopischke, 83, of Morgan, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at New Ulm Medical Center Hospital. Services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Morgan with burial in Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye. Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Morgan and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service. She is survived by sons, Donald of New Ulm, Kenneth of Northfield and Calvin of St. Peter; daughter Janet Nygaard of Fergus Falls; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was born Oct. 18, 1919, in Eden Township, Brown County to Fred and Frances (Vohs) Penning. Lucille M. Kuelbs, 88, of Palm Desert, Calif., formerly of Clements, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at the Fountain at the Carlotta in Palm Desert, Calif. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. William 'Bill' Nelson, 83, of Westbrook, formerly of Springfield, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Center. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. today with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service at Westbrook Funeral home and will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Wednesday. He is survived by his sisters, Kathy Dunlap of Modesto, Calif., Marty Parker of Topock, Ariz., and Keo Lange of Loveland, Colo. William Nelson was born March 21, 1919, to William Nelson and Julia Rasmussen-Nelson in Ideal, S.D. Lloyd Penk, 88, of Stewart, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at the Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton. Burial will be this Spring in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Stewart. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday, at the Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. He is survived by his wife Rose of Burns Manor, Hutchinson, and by his children, Jerome of Brownton, Ronald of Stewart, Larry of Carlton, Dale of Carlsbad, Calif., and Richard of Litchfield; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Lloyd Charles Wilhelm Penk was born Feb. 22,1914, in Collins Township, McLeod County, to Otto and Ida (Hoecke) Penk. Marie Schmidt, 88, of 523 12th North Street, New Ulm, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye. Arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. David P. Weber, 46, of Nicollet died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at his home in Nicollet. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet with burial in the St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery, Middle Lake. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet and continues Wednesday for one hour prior to time of service at the church. There will be a parish prayers service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Annabel Weber of rural Nicollet; sister Lois Weber, of Mankato; brothers, Anthony "Tony" Weber, Karl Weber, and Gary Weber, all of Nicollet, and Robert "Bob" Weber, Jr. of Owatonna. David was born Aug. 2, 1956, in New Ulm to Robert and Annabel (Saffert) Weber. Grace I. Whittet, 82, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31, at First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls with burial in Redwood Falls Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 30, at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls and at the church Friday from 1 p.m. to the time of the service. She is survived by husband Robert C. "Bob" Whittet of Redwood Falls; sons, Steve of Redwood Falls, Tom of New Ulm; daughter Marcia Schiller of Clements; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Griffith of Olivia and Blanche Ross of Nyack, N.Y. She was born July 2, 1920, on the family farm in Delhi Township, to John and Alice (Gray) Stevenson. Willard R. Zellmer, 89, of Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center Chapel with burial in Home Cemetery. A complete notice will be published in the Wednesday edition. Arrangements are pending with the Sturm Funeral Rome in Sleepy Eye.
